HI, there isa nominal fee to access the site but you are required house guides get to the various pools. The walk is not easy, and if it has rained in the past days the bassin will not be blue, but rather a murky brown. The guides worked tips and decline to quote a price before departure. They try to get the most they can from you. Anything more than 20$ US per person is almost robbery, i've heard of people paying upwards of 50$ which is a total ripoff

I would not be able to tell you wether it was because people were preparing carnaval or luck though... good luck to you and I was you won’t cross many people:D it is worth it anyway !!
