Have a drive out on the W Gates Pass road. Its a lovely scenic drive with view points and short walks. The whole road will only take you about 20mins one way. Its free and in some parts as good as Sa… Full review by BarryandNicolaG

All above are true. There is a couple of parking lots off the road and a covered viewing area but no picnic facilities, no grills or bathrooms. Just parking and trails.

If you travel from Interstate 10 up Speedway towards gates pass you'll be okay. Just do not pass the parking lot at gate pass. The road is extremely curvy after that and the drop-off is …
