I visited the Shrine in 1982 and had the time of my life. Later went to Kalakuta and was honored to meet Fela (maybe Femi too). Hazy memories but the tv was on and the Jeffersons were playing. Fela went out to the piano on the porch to see if oyingbo could recognize Night in Tunesia. I couldn't then but I learned my lesson and am a big jazz head now taking people on jazz tours to Harlem's underground jazz scene with. I am organizing a music tour to Nigeria for 2018 and I want some help choosing the best month to visit the Shrine with my group. Any advice and assistance would be a great help. Peace, Gordon

Any time I the month is okay for visiting the African Shrine,The preferably day of the week should be Thursday Where you Femi play live with his band. Every Thursday is always great at the African Shrine. You can also shedule your visit to sometimes November or december during the felaboration week. ( Felaboration is a week dedicated to celebrate Fela's achievements and legacy with over 20 events)
