If you can get to the light rail system in Charlotte then you are okay from there. You can take that into Uptown and then catch the free shuttle to the Music Factory. You can also use buses to get there now. You will just have to check the schedules online to figure out how to get there. The shuttle is called the Entertainment Express and their pickup locations are listed on the web.
