The Nakalele Blowhole didn't disappoint and it should be noted, beware of the power of mother nature, water, and listen to the warnings of getting to close. A "Instagramer" being filmed by her boyfri… Full review by Toby B

I have to agree with the other reviews on that you don't need to walk all the way down to see the blowhole. There are a couple warning signs that if you do go into the blowhole that you'll be sucked… Full review by Courtalort08

I would suggest trying the blowhole at Black Sand Beach on the road to Hana. Some reviews get the two confused and review that one under here. The Black Sand Beach is a slightly more accessible spot than the Nakalele Blowhole and it has a proper park where you can see the blowhole from multiple angles. Nakalele blowhole is a bit more adventurous. I would not recommend for those needing any type of walking assistance.

My wife will be 6 months pregnant at the time of our visit, is the hike to the blowhole all that bad? Wondering if this will be too much for her. She does enjoy hiking in general though.
A:
It’s not a difficult trail, however, it is rocky with a couple of big steps, depending on your route down. Take your time going down and you will be fine. It is muddy and slippery if raining.
Q:
What is the best time of day to visit the blow holes?
A:
Download the "Tides Near Me" app and go during high tide, whenever that may be.

Is the drive from Lahaina easy? I am aware that 340 gets iffy to the East of the blowhole but want to know if the highway to the west of it is still "normal" (2 lanes, etc) and "safe."
A:

Is there a decent view from the parking lot (or safely close by). We have a toddler so I am sure we won't be able to make the complete hike down but I would like to see it a little if possible...
A:
Yes. You can walk a short distance from your car and see the blowhole. Regardless put your toddler in closed toe shoes so he/she doesn't hurt his/her feet on the lava rock.
