The guide was so knowledgeable. Incredibly interesting to learn about the history of Copper Country and the gift of strength and endurance by our immigrant forefathers of the 1900’s. This piece of ou… Full review by Lorie S

It was about 1.5 - 2 hours, the surface tour of the above ground museum space is about 30 minutes and then the underground tour taking the tram to the mine and inside the mine is about an hour or so. There’s the option to choose just one or the other too. It was a really good tour and I learned a lot!

There is some walking involved in the tour but I would say its not a lot of walking. If I recalled there were a few chairs in the Hoist house for those who can not stand for along time. (20 min) The hoist house is the first part of the tour. Then its off to the mine. You take a tram down to the mine so there is no walking to the mine its self. Once your in the mind itself there is about another 20 minutes of walking but its an easy walk.
We're a family of 5 in the area Mon and Tues. Any need to reserve tickets ahead of time or OK to buy them when we get there.

I don't think you need to reserve tickets ahead of time. When we were there in June it was not at all crowded. We arrived shortly before they opened in the morning and had no problem.
