Are the dives PADI certified? Will the dives count towards my certification? I have two already and need two more PADI certified dives to become a certified diver.

No, unfortunately these dives won't count towards a certification, neither will the previous two that you have completed unless they were under the supervision of a certified instructor whilst enrolled in an Open Water Course, the course involves safety and self rescue skills, not simply four dives and a hi five at the end. Unfortunately the dive staff on any day trip boat are not equipped to conducted open water courses without referral and pool sessions. Hope this helps!
Hi! My husband and I will be in Port Douglas this April 16-19h and plan on snorkeling hopefully 2 of those days. What are the seas/weather usually like around that time? Is it usually very choppy? We're hoping to avoid seasickness, and are trying to figure out the best preventative measures to take. Thanks!

I just got back and have been diving for 11 years. 1500 km of the reef in Australia is in bad shape. Do not and I mean do not waste your money trying to snorkel at the reef . It sucks. Going to Australia is one thing but stay away from the reef . The dive operators won’t tell you that because they are all about the business. Save your money and go to Cayman Brac, or the Bahamas if you want to snorkel and see something. You want to impress your friends that you snorkeled the reef in Australia than that’s your deal. Stay away is all I can say.
Hi. Read your review of silver sonic trip, thanks for it. I'm an Advanced Open Water diver too. I'm already booked to do one day trip with silver sonic. My question is I'm actually in port Douglas for 7 days and I didn't know whether to book another trip with them for a couple of days later before I go or book with another company once I get there to try out a different locatiion. Did you like them enough to book again? Or would you have booked with another company to go to a different location. And if so, who would you recommend? Or was there plenty to see that you wouldn't have minded going yo the same location again with silver sonic? Hopefully you get what I'm on about! Thank you in advance.

If you're an advanced open water diver then my guess is the trip I took would be basic for you. I'm sure there are trips that cater to more advanced divers (which I am not).
