If we arrive after hours and can’t stay overnight, will we be able to walk around the outdoor water feature behind the building?

I am not sure what the local police might say about being there after hours but it is accessible to walk after they are closed. It’s better to call and ask first, I would think.
I thought that a new museum was being constructed in Corinth, and wondered if it is complete yet. I was there some years ago and drove around the battle area after visiting the house, just didn't know if the new structure was finished. It has special interest for me because my great grandfather was wounded in the battle. Thanks, Joe Mara

The facility seems rather new. It's free, includes a film if you want to watch that, and a number of nice exhibits.
I can't answer with certainty, but I'm pretty sure that you can. It seems to be handicap friendly, and I can't imagine why they would prohibit strollers.
