We are going to be in Sydney in June 2020, but not sure if the Three Sisters and the area around it was affected by the fires. It is a full day, very long, tour and I don't want to waste my time and money if it isn't nice anymore.

The Three Sisters are no longer affected by Bushfires. Local businesses are already suffering because of the misconception that this part of NSW is on fire. This place is perfectly fine and the views were great when we visited on the 22nd of Jan. Very recommend everyone to visit. You shouldn't jave anything to worry about if you decide to visit. Hope this helps! Enjoy your travels!

"The Grand Canyon is in Arizona, USA." Yes, I've heard of that little gully in Arizona. But the OP is talking about the Grand Canyon track below Evans Lookout in Blackheath. Not sure why the OP's question is being asked on this page though and the Grand Canyon is nowhere near The Three Sisters! As for a private guide, you are better off engaging a local one to pick you up from either Katoomba station or Blackheath station.

The best time to see 3 Sisters is before sunset. You can visit the attraction in early morning and before sunset to enjoy its best. One hotel just next to 3 Sisters has very good rate. It's convenient if your main itinerary is just for 3 Sisters and the surrounding. Of course, you have so much to do when you look further.
