Yes fishing is allowed. there are a few trails that lead down to the Apalachicola River. The shortest route would be to go down the trail at the Gregory House. it is around a 1/4 mile down the hill to the water. The Rock Bluff Primitive camping area is also located near the water. It is a mile hike to this location. If camping reservations are what you are referring to, we would recommend you make a reservation. Reservations can be made by calling Reserve America at: 1-800-326-3521

I think you can fish in the river with a valid Florida fishing license. I'm not sure where you would do that as the part of the trail near the river was closed due to flooding. if you'll be there on a weekend, probably will need to reserve. Reservations are through a link on the state park website to ReserveAmerica.
