CHARGED WITH ANIMAL CRUELTY I am regrettably writing this as a warning to any other animal lovers. We booked this tour in December. When we saw the dogs I was concerned that they looked thin but was… Full review by Liz c

Super fun and gorgeous scenery. Our family loves dogs and knew this would be super fun and it was amazing. Our guide was friendly and kind and my kids loved the experience! Full review by K9444OYmicheles

the main roads on hwy 70 & 91 take you all the way close to Leadville. roads are generally good conditions (i recalled 2-3 lanes from denver) but subject to snow and winds so advisable to check ahead. from the turnoff to hwy 24 to get to Alpine Adv, it's two-lane road but venue is not far from the 91 turnoff. four wheeler is a must but if renting in Colorado, generally cars are equipped for winter conditions. enjoy!

The snow should be fine that time of year, but there's no way to know for sure. It's all major highway driving to us regardless of what direction you're coming from. During peak holiday times, you must make sure you allow plenty of time in case there is heavy traffic. If you're coming from Denver on a Sat morning, I'd pick a different day or come up the night before b/c a 2.5 hr drive can turn into several hours if you leave the city at the wrong time. You will have to take weather conditions and traffic into consideration to make sure you get here on time.

As always, it will depend on early season snow. Many times we will not know for sure until a couple of days prior as to whether or not we'll have enough snow to build a safe trail to run on. If we are, we fill in quickly. I can tell you that it will be the Tag Sled Tours only at that point, even if we are able to run. I will take reservations for that time just in case, as you will definitely need a reservation with our limited availability. All of our descriptions and information can be found on our website.
