I plan to be in FL at the end of April before my cruise. I am looking for a place to spend an hour or two in between hotel change ,just to relax without getting sun burnt on the beach. My questions are would Hugh Taylor Birch park be suitable for that and is there an entry fee for just strolling around or sitting in the shade? Is there parking available or close ?

There is a small cost to the park, Military are free and there are a few small car parks to stop at, plenty of parking with views of the waterways so you can watch the boats go by there are also wooded walking areas on little paths to have a wonder around.. you cannot get lost as your surrounded by water and a circular road.. lovely place for a couple of hours.....
