Fort Nelson is home to the Royal Armouries national collection of artillery and is a great day out for all the family. Step back in time and explore a fully restored Victorian fort with its high ramparts, original fortifications, huge parade ground and underground tunnels. Plus, there's the national museum housing over 700 pieces of artillery from across the world and spanning 600 years of history. With an exciting collection of big guns, stunning panoramic views, great children’s activities, a museum shop packed with gifts and souvenirs and a café serving delicious refreshments – there's something for everyone to enjoy. Venue Hire is also offered for weddings, parties, corporate hire and other events. Admission free. Parking £3.

We love it here! Myself and my two children really enjoy coming here. Every holiday there is a free trail/activities. It's suitable for any age- it engages my two year old. Lots of space to run aroun… Full review by MM8819

Hello I am an Class of 82 lad and want to visit the standing with giants, that's all I want to see, will I be allowed to bring my small dog in ? I have her to calm me down? I've already booked for Wednesday morning but if she's not allowed to accompany me I shall not be visiting, I don't have want to see anything else just the standing with giants!
