There are marked trails throughout the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge. However we took the smaller upper trail that mostly parallels the main trail down to the spit.
Can we visit if we don't have a car? Is it accessible by public transport from Port Angeles?
A:
You can take public transportation to downtown Sequim but not out to the Wildlife Refuge. You'd be better off renting a car for the day and then exploring more areas also around Sequim.

Dogs are not allowed on the trail, unfortunately. I think they are allowed in the camp and picnic areas.
