Very impressed with the size and scope of this theater building. It is a very good place to catch a concert or show. Check out their calendar for something to do in the evening or on a rainy day. Full review by Thomas V

Lovely tranquil art gallery with enormous collection of very good European and German art. Well hung art in tastefully coloured galleries. Full review by F9087AZdavidm

Walkable distance from Marriott Hotel near Gansemarkt area. Around 20 minutes. From Marriott, walk two short streets down to Grosse Bleichen and stay on Grosse Bleichen all the way towards the lake (Binnenalster). facing the lake, turn right on Jungfernstieg and then turn Left on Ballindam -- the boulevard along the lake there. Walk for around 5 minutes along the lake shore and you get the Lombardsbrucke Bridge. The museum is there nearby, at the corner of Ballindamm and Glockengiesserwall. There are signs to guide like everywhere else in the city to city attractions. It is easy to get around that area. Nearby around five minutes away from the museum is the Central train station.
Is it possible to purchase a ticket to the Art Museum in advance on your website? I'll be traveling to Hamburg from Greensboro, North Carolina, in the USA, on August 19th, and would like to visit the Hamburger Kunsthalle on Saturday, August 20th.
