The sun shines on Daytona International Speedway. And that’s a good thing. Because it’d be even colder without it Saturday morning. Besides the temperatures, sitting around 38 degrees at 9 a.m., the weather looks excellent for the start of the Rolex 24 race.

His prototype teams scored overall victories in 2012, ’22 and ’23. The most recent kicked off the dawn of the hybrid prototype era but also marked the beginning of a tailspin for Meyer Shank Racing, which was slapped with a massive penalty for manipulating Rolex 24 tire data and subsequently was sidelined from IMSA in 2024.
