A cold front could sweep through northern Texas next week, following potential freezing temperatures Saturday night.  Friday night in Amarillo could see temperature lows of 36 degrees, with wind speeds up to 25 or 35 miles per hour.

Cold front sweeping Texas this week bringing a hail and damaging wind threat to North Texas, freezing temps to Panhandle and cooler days to South Central Texas.

We'll also be looking at the threat for a few strong to severe thunderstorms on Saturday, primarily from late morning through early evening. Primary threats for North Texas would be strong, gusty winds and hail. For this reason, we have issued a First Alert Weather Day for Saturday.
