Thousands of devotees gathered in Ujjain to take a holy dip in the Kshipra River, marking the start of Makar Sankranti.

They paid their homage to Baba Mahakal (Lord Shiva ... "The prayer will be incomplete without visiting Kal Bhairav temple after coming to Ujjain, therefore I came here and worshipped the lord.

Union Minister Prahlad Joshi visited Mahakaleshwar Temple in Madhya Pradesh Ujjain's on Sunday. He attended Bhasma Aarti and sought blessings of Lord Shiva at the reverred temple along with his wife.
