The Patriots are bringing Stefon Diggs to town for a free agent visit, but is he what the team needs at wide receiver? The New England Patriots have enjoyed a busy start to free agency, reinforcing their defense with several big name players.

Diggs is quite familiar with the Patriots, as he spent four seasons torching them while with the Buffalo Bills. Now, after tearing his ACL in 2024 while with the Texans, Diggs is searching for a new home, and he ended up making his first move in free agency by taking a trip out to Foxboro, MA to visit with New England.

The Patriots reported met with star receiver Stefon Diggs on Wednesday. They wanted to see what Diggs, who is 31 and coming off ACL surgery, has left in the tank. In short, they’re doing due diligence on the possibility of landing an actual No. 1 receiver, although given the circumstances, Diggs might not quite live up to that designation.
