There were four games played on the Friday slate, all of which saw a surge in the scoring realm: Syracuse defeated Washington State 52-35, Navy defeated Oklahoma 21-20, Vanderbilt defeated Georgia Tech 35-27, Arkansas defeated Texas Tech 39-26 and a thriller between USC and Texas A&M ended in a 35-31 win for the Trojans.

The 2024 winner? The mascot who forever changed the game. The inaugural Pop-Tarts Bowl was a massive hit in 2023, as "Strawberry," a giant Pop-Tart, voluntarily popped himself into a giant toaster after the game and emerged as an edible mascot for Kansas State to enjoy.

College football bowl games for the 2024 season continue on Friday, Dec. 27 with five games, followed by eight more on Saturday, Dec. 28.
