BOSTON – The high-profile Karen Read murder trial that got underway on April 16 at Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham, Massachusetts ended months later in a mistrial due to a hung jury.

Karen was born in Vassalboro, ME on May 10, 1946 to Virginia and Francis Murphy. She grew up in Marlborough, MA with her seven siblings and graduated from Marlborough High School in 1964.
