Once Rodgers decided between the Steelers and Giants, Russell Wilson — whom the Browns hosted last Thursday — will know his fate, and so will probably Carson Wentz and Joe Flacco.

During the 2024 NFL season with the Steelers, Wilson played in 11 games. He completed 63.7% of his pass attempts for 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions. He also rushed for 155 yards and two more scores. Wilson could have come back with weapons like DK Metcalf and George Pickens and had a big year.

While the Pittsburgh Steelers continue to wait on Aaron Rodgers to make a decision, their backup plan in the case he does not sign with them remains unknown. Rodgers left the Steelers' facility on Friday without a contract, but the perceived backup plan for the Steelers has been their 2024 quarterback, Russell Wilson.
