A high wind warning and red flag warning are in place for most of North Texas. Frequent wind gusts of 50-55 mph, with isolated gusts up to 60-65 mph, are expected, posing risks for high-profile vehicles and increasing the extreme fire threat due to low humidity.

Texas will experience wind gusts of up to 55 mph in parts on Wednesday, while relative humidity will plummet to as low as six percent.

A Red Flag Warning will be in effect for McLennan County and others from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., triggering a burn ban passed by County Commissioners on March 14, 2025.
