FRISCO, Texas — FC Dallas is reportedly sending forward Jesus Ferreira to the Seattle Sounders, according to MLS Insider Tom Bogert. According to Bogert, the Sounders reached an agreement with FC Dallas and Ferreira to bring the young USMNT star to the Pacific Northwest.

FC Dallas has reached an agreement to trade Jesús Ferreira to the Seattle Sounders in exchange for winger Leo Chu, $2 million in General Allocation Money and an international roster spot, Tom Bogert reported on Tuesday. Ferreira is the son of David Ferreira, the forward who played with FC Dallas from 2009 to 2013.

In 2022, Ferreira tied the club’s single-season record with 18 goals (Jason Kreis and Kenny Cooper Jr) and was named MLS Young Player of the Year (second at FC Dallas. Ferreira also was named to the MLS Best XI and topped the league’s 22 Under 22 list.
