When Weezer covered Toto's 1982 classic "Africa" back in 2018, it seemed like the '80s hitmakers were all for it. At the time, the band's founder and guitarist Steve Lukather said "nobody appreciates [the cover] more than all of us at Toto" and the band even covered Weezer's "Hashpipe" during a show.
