We hiked to Cave Rock to watch a famous Lake Tahoe sunset, but we had mixed results ... because you only have to pay when parking in the boat launch area on the side of Highway 50.

Lake Tahoe Boat Rides and Lake Tahoe Cruises (which operates out of Zephyr Cove Resort). Daylong and sunset tours typically include food and/or drinks. Many cruises offer food for purchase as well.
