Warning: Spoilers ahead for the season six finale of "Virgin River." The latest season of Netflix's romantic drama "Virgin River" saw nurse practitioner Melinda Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) and restaurateur Jack Sheridan (Martin Henderson) finally walk down the aisle together.

Virgin River Season 6 has been piquing interest ever since its premiere. It resumed the chaotic love story of Melinda “Mel” Monroe and Jack Sheridan. Aside from the engaging storyline, there is one more aspect that has left fans intrigued.

Unlike those TV days of yesteryear, waiting for resolution to those soapy cliffhangers on Dallas, Knots Landing, Falcon Crest and Dynasty in the spring was resolved by the early fall. The break is much longer for Virgin River, but well worth it once all these burning questions are resolved and the next set of anguish begins.

While announcing Season 7, Netflix did not specify when it would release.

Virgin River Season 6 took a trip back into the past to open up the first chapter of Everett ( Callum Kerr) and Sarah’s ( Jessica Rothe) grand romance. Naturally, Mel’s parents would have an epic love story of their own — and the younger versions of Everett and Sarah didn’t disappoint.

Virgin River boss Patrick Sean Smith has teased the show's planned spin-off series. Earlier this year, it was reported that a new prequel was in the works that would focus on the relationship between Mel's late mother Sarah and Everett Reid.
