According to a statement from India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), the resumption of the Mansarovar Yatra is scheduled for the summer of 2025, with both countries planning to work out the necessary logistical arrangements through existing agreements.

India and China decided to resume the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra as the two sides agreed to take certain people-centric steps to "stabilise and rebuild" ties.

India and China also agreed to promote and facilitate people-to-people contacts, especially between media and think tanks.
