Haiti’s health minister has been removed from his post following a deadly gang attack on the largest public hospital in the capital, Port-au-Prince.

Haiti’s online media association said two reporters were killed and several others were wounded in a gang attack on Tuesday on the reopening of Port-au-Prince’s biggest public hospital.

The Christmas Eve attack added to an avalanche of bad news for Haiti, which was also battling damaging floods in the northern region of the country on Tuesday.

Gang members opened fire during the reopening of the main hospital in Haiti’s capital of Port-au-Prince, killing two journalists and a police officer.
