Washington — President-elect Donald Trump will hold a rally-type event on Jan. 19 at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., just ahead of his inauguration, according to multiple sources familiar with the planning.

The event will take place a day before Trump is sworn into office. On January 20 the inauguration will take place at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C., usually on the West Front, which faces the National Mall and offers a view of the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial.

His “Make America Great Again Victory Rally” is scheduled to take place the afternoon of Jan. 19, the day before he’s slated to be inaugurated as the 47th president of the United States. “Join President Trump at Capital One Arena for a victory rally you’ll never forget!” a registration page for the event reads.

The event is set to be held at the Capital One Arena in the nation’s capital one day before he's inaugurated at the Capitol.
