Several inches of wet snow are expected accumulate across parts of Michigan through Monday night, according to the National Weather Service, with some areas possibly experiencing more than 6 inches of accumulation of wet snow.

Snow accumulations will be between 1 and 3 inches by Friday afternoon. Sanilac County will see between 2 to 4 inches because of the proximity to Lake Huron. By Friday afternoon, most snow showers will come to an end. Temperatures will drop like a rock for the weekend.

Weather Advisories are in effect at several inches of snow is expected for Michigan two days before Christmas and during the evening commute.
