Quantum computing stocks rallied Wednesday following a directive from Microsoft urging businesses to get "quantum-ready" in 2025. The news lifted shares of Rigetti Computing, D-Wave Quantum and IonQ Quantum stocks skyrocketed last year,

Quantum Computing didn't have any news of its own to report, but the company is even smaller than D-Wave, with less than $1 million in revenue over the last four quarters. Its stock has soared even higher than D-Wave's over the last year, a disconnect that could lead to a continued decline in Quantum Computing's shares.

Speculators are back on the hunt for early investments in quantum computing stocks after Microsoft’s President and Chief Operating Officer of Strategic Missions and Technologies, Mitra Azizirad, is now writing that 2025 is the year to become “quantum ready”.
