Wake Forest Police have suspended an active search for a carjacking suspect who ran into a wooded area near the Tyler Run subdivision.

According to the Wake Forest Police Department, the carjacking suspect was last seen around Durham Road and Tyler Run Drive in Wake Forest.

Officers say a man carjacked a woman outside the Hobby Lobby on Capital Boulevard, then led police on a brief pursuit, then ditched the stolen vehicle and left on foot.
