Coming off a record-setting 2024, SpaceX continued an aggressive launching schedule with the liftoff Wednesday morning of a Falcon 9 rocket that carried 21 Starlink satellites into lower-Earth orbit.

After a record year of launches, SpaceX kicked things off again with the first mission of 2025 on Friday night.

SpaceX put the final countdown in the books for the Space Coast early Tuesday, adding one more to the record pace of launches for the year.

After separation from the upper stage, the lower-stage booster will attempt to return to Starbase to land at its launch tower. The company achieved the feat during the fifth flight of Starship on Oct. 13 but was unable to repeat it on the sixth flight in November. That booster diverted to a water landing in the Gulf of Mexico.

After a record year of launches, SpaceX is set to kick things off again with the first mission of 2025 on Friday night.

SpaceX on Monday launched a Falcon 9 rocket with its first Starlink mission of the new year, sending 24 satellites to low-Earth orbit from Florida.

SpaceX crews are preparing to launch a Falcon 9 rocket from Florida on Wednesday. The launch is scheduled for 10:27 a.m. from Launch Complex 39A at Kenney Space Center. The rocket is set to send another batch of Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit.

SpaceX sent up the second launch of the year from the Space Coast on Monday afternoon. A Falcon 9 carrying 24 of the company’s Starlink internet satellites took off at 3:43 p.m. Eastern time from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station’s Space Launch Complex 40.

The launch will take place at 10:27 a.m. at the Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, where a Falcon 9 rocket will carry the satellites into space.
