The Miami Heat announced in a statement on social media Friday that they are suspending star forward Jimmy Butler for seven games. They also stated that they will be listening to trade offers for Butler after the 35-year-old had indicated he longer wants to be a part of the team. Butler is now expected to get traded by the Feb 6. trade deadline.

The Miami Heat lost to the Utah Jazz 136-100 with Jimmy Butler serving the first game of his seven-game suspension.

Coming into Saturday, the Heat were 5-5 in games without Butler this season. They also had not lost a game by more than 19 points. As -400 favorites against Utah at home, Miami's 9-for-35 shooting performance from three and -25 rebound margin sealed the embarrassing result that nearly doubled its worst losing margin on the season.
