Carnival is the only major cruise line whose drink package doesn’t work at their private destinations. Royal Caribbean passengers can use their drink packages at the cruise line’s Perfect Day at CocoCay private island, as well as its Labadee private resort, which is in the nation of Haiti.

But one passenger's time on the open seas with Royal Caribbean got significantly worse for their bank account after making a huge faux pas that left them an extra $1,300 (£1,058) out of pocket. The passenger, whose identity remains undisclosed, had bought in to Royal Caribbean's Wi-Fi package.

A passenger is upset with Royal Caribbean ( RCL) as they got home from their cruise and received a $1,300 cell phone bill even though they purchased Royal Caribbean's WiFi package.
