Oct 15, 2018 · I'm looking to build a 3 ft by 4.5 ft hover vehicle and am wondering if there is a way to get this lift using Fans placed under the overall frame of this vehicle ? To help the weight of the vehicle will be around 25 LBS.

Apr 1, 2012 · Vertical to forward flight is easy. Forward flight to hovering is little more tricky due to the turbulance of the airframe while slowing down. You also have to be a good enough pilot to control the aircraft if it's not facing directly away from you.

Feb 13, 2012 · EDFs produce relatively little thrust with extremely high pitchspeed while VTOL craft require tons of thrust and virtually no pitchspeed. Leadfeather has built some some awesome prop-powered quadrocopters and tricopters using jet bodies (Stryker etc.) as bases.
