During CPR, the reading of concern via capnography is patient end-tidal CO2 (PETCO2). This reading is the maximum partial pressure of CO2 at the end of a breath. The effectiveness of compressions for CPR can be monitored graphically by ensuring that PETCO2 values remain between 10 and 20 mmHg.
