Jerod Mayo Sr. (born February 23, 1986) is an American professional football coach and former linebacker who is the head coach of the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL). He previously played with the Patriots for eight seasons.

He led the Patriots in total tackles in each of his first five seasons and became just the second Patriots player to win the Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
