Aug 31, 2014 · Hi have a 2010 Honda 420 fm. It has lots of trouble starting, expecially when cold. sometime have to crank 15 seconds plus. Also occasionally backfires. Once started have to let it warm up quite awhile, or it will stall out when I give it throttle. I work on 8 of these and this is the only one that does it. And its the newest one.

May 30, 2010 · I am having the same issue as you posted above from last year. I just bought this 2007 Honda Rancher 420 4X4 a few weeks ago. It runs great for 10-15 minutes until it warms up and then the cooling fan comes on. After that the bogging down and cutting out starts like it is starving for fuel or spark or both.
