Martin Landau as Bela Lugosi in “Ed Wood” (1994). This is one of those performances which not only took me by surprise, but lingered for a while after seeing this film. Martin was a perfect choice for portraying Bela Lugosi, masterfully capturing his tragic twilight years, including his struggle with addiction and his friendship with the eccentric filmmaker Ed Wood (Johnny Depp). Landau's deep empathy and meticulous attention to detail in embodying Lugosi rightfully earned him the Academy Award
